Manuka Recipes: Honeyed Nut and Pomegranate Cups

A healthy and delicious fruit and nut honey treat that's equally great for breakfast and dessert!

  • 60g oats
  • 200g pistachio nuts, crushed
  • 100g manuka honey
  • 1/4 cup apple or orange juice
  • 300ml heavy cream
  • 200g vanilla full fat yogurt
  • 100g pomegranate

Step 1:

Mix the oats, nuts, juice and half the honey in a mixing bowl.

When mixed well, split between 6-8 tall glasses.

Step 2:

Whip the cream. Once nice and airy, mix in the remaining honey and the yogurt.

Once the color and texture is consistent, divide evenly between the glasses.

Then leave to chill for 2-4 hours.

Step 3:

Take out of the fridge just before serving.

Sprinkle generously with pomegranate on top.

Drizzle sparingly with your favourite manuka honey.

Why we love this recipe

We think this recipe is perfect for manuka honey lovers because it doesn't require you to heat the honey, which can reduce the effectiveness of the MGO.

It's also very healthy with a good mix of yogurt, fresh fruits, nuts, fibers, and manuka honey. It's one of the favorites in our household for both breakfast and dessert.

For something different, you can even let the oats sit at room temperature, then heat it very lightly on the stovetop and serve as a hot dessert. It's just as delicious, and perfect for those cold winter days.
